Lodging

We are taking the Voyager Campervan around on our trip. However, we have to stay at campgrounds and hotels as well. Here is a list of our lodging over our trip!

Our Temporary Home On Wheels!

Our campervan is the perfect size for two people. With the couch to bed function, this camper van provides the extra space needed to comfortably sleep, relax, cook, and enjoy your adventure! It includes a stove, fridge, solar power and so much more! Check out THE MINNY V2: voyagercampervans.com

NIGHT 1 : Residence Inn by Marriott

We will be arriving late on our first night and will be picking up our campervan the following day. Our first stay is at a hotel in Phoenix, Arizona. We love staying at Marriott hotels, always a great sleep and very nice hotels. You can check out the hotel here: marriott.com

NIGHT 2 & 3 : Grand Canyon Trailer Village

Trailer Village is incredibly close to the Grand Canyon’s South Rim. Set within a high desert landscape, the Trailer Village RV Park is a paved pull-through site perfect for vehicles up to 50 feet long. This gets us super close to the Grand Canyon. We will be in this location for two nights while hiking the canyon.

NIGHT 4 : Lake Powell Campground

Lake Powell Campground is located in Page, Arizona, home to beautiful Lake Powell, the campground is the perfect place to sit back and relax after a busy day of traveling the state. Only a single night here while hiking Horseshoe Bend and Antelope Canyon.

NIGHT 5 : Rancho Sedona RV Park

Rancho Sedona RV Park is located in Sedona, AZ. The campground is fully shaded by grand Sycamore and Cottonwood trees and is the perfect spot for us to relax after a long day of driving, hiking Antelope Canyon and Cathedral Rock.

NIGHT 6 : Mesa / Apache Junction KOA

LodgingMesa / Apache Junction KOA is our first stop at a Kampgrounds of America, better know as KOA, stop will be in Mesa, Arizona. This gives us a chance to relax and swim. Since our campervan has no bathrooms, these KOA campgrounds will let us take showers and freshen up.

NIGHT 7 : Tombstone RV Park and Campground

LodgingTombstone RV Park and Campground is a great place to stop, just outside the town of Tombstone, Arizona, yet just close enough! The campground is older, but seems like it will be fun and kind of kitsch. We will rest here the night before exploring Tombstone.

NIGHT 8 : Picacho / Tucson KOA

LodgingPicacho / Tucson KOA will be the second stay at a KOA. The campground is only minutes from Picacho State Park and nestled between oleander hedges and under shade trees that hide away the highway. Can’t wait to swim and relax!

NIGHT 9 & 10 : Charming Historic Home in Phoenix

LodgingThe final two nights are in Phoenix, Arizona. This gives us a chance to see the city, eat some good food and relax before getting on a plane back to Maine. Charming house with a private, fenced in backyard with patio, gas fire pit, and wood pellet grill! Check it out: AirBnB.
